Director of Quality, Industrial Construction | Cincinnati, OH
Overview
A retained search is underway for a senior quality leader to oversee enterprise-wide quality assurance within a complex industrial construction environment. This role will define and elevate quality standards across multiple project sites, ensuring consistent execution, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The Director will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, project teams, and clients, driving a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Compensation: $150-170K
Key Responsibilities
Establish and lead the organization’s quality strategy, aligning programs with broader business objectives
Design and implement scalable quality management systems across multiple project sites
Oversee audit programs to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and industry standards
Partner with project leadership and clients to resolve quality issues and reinforce best practices
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality organization, including field inspectors and analysts
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including corrective action programs and performance metrics
Develop and deliver training to strengthen quality awareness and execution across teams and subcontractors
Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within industrial or heavy construction environments
Proven track record leading multi-site quality programs in complex project settings
Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential in good standing
Strong command of quality management systems, audit frameworks, and construction safety standards
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and operate effectively in client-facing environments
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
