Overview
A retained search is underway for a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight within a community-based behavioral health setting. This role blends direct patient care with strategic medical leadership, guiding multidisciplinary teams and shaping the delivery of psychiatric services across diverse populations. The position offers the opportunity to influence care models, quality standards, and clinical outcomes in a complex outpatient environment.

Compensation: $150K

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management across child and adult populations

  • Offer clinical leadership and consultation to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of care

  • Oversee the quality, appropriateness, and compliance of psychiatric services

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine clinical protocols, policies, and care delivery models

  • Lead or participate in clinical review committees, including behavioral treatment planning and quality initiatives

  • Support recruitment, supervision, and professional development of psychiatric staff

  • Contribute to the integration and expansion of in-person and telepsychiatry services

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • M.D. or D.O. with active licensure and board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

  • Demonstrated experience treating both pediatric and adult populations, including substance use and dual diagnosis

  • Proven medical leadership experience within outpatient, community mental health, or similar settings

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and quality standards in behavioral health

  • Experience working within complex, multidisciplinary care environments

  • Cultural competence and the ability to serve diverse populations with a trauma-informed approach
