Overview
A retained search is underway for a senior finance executive to join a well-established, regulated financial institution. This role serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, with full accountability for financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and balance sheet performance. The position offers meaningful influence over long-term financial strategy, risk management, and organizational growth within a disciplined, relationship-driven environment.

Compensation: $120-150K

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the institution’s financial strategy, aligning capital planning and performance with long-term business objectives

  • Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP and regulatory standards

  • Serve as primary liaison to regulators, auditors, and the Board on financial matters

  • Direct capital adequacy, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization, including stress testing and ALM oversight

  • Provide executive leadership across treasury, investment management, and funding strategies

  • Guide enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, governance, and financial risk management frameworks

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven finance leadership experience within a regulated financial institution, ideally in a Controller, Comptroller, or CFO capacity

  • Deep expertise in regulatory reporting, GAAP accounting, and financial governance within banking or similar environments

  • Demonstrated ownership of capital planning, liquidity management, and treasury/ALM functions

  • Experience interfacing with regulators, auditors, and Boards, with strong executive communication skills

  • Background in financial crimes compliance (BSA, AML, FCC) and enterprise risk considerations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; advanced credentials are additive
