Overview
A confidential manufacturing organization has engaged us to identify a senior Ignition SCADA Architect to lead the design and deployment of enterprise-scale industrial data and control systems. This role will be instrumental in architecting robust, scalable Ignition environments that integrate plant-floor operations with enterprise systems, enabling real-time visibility, performance optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
Compensation: $180K
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design end-to-end Ignition SCADA solutions across edge and enterprise environments
Lead site assessments to evaluate system readiness and define integration strategies across manufacturing assets
Develop scalable tag structures, data models, and database interfaces to support analytics and reporting
Drive PLC and IT/OT integration, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange across systems
Translate business and operational requirements into technical architecture and deployment plans
Lead cross-functional engineering teams, including coordination with distributed and offshore resources
Partner with stakeholders to deliver enhancements, system improvements, and ongoing support
Ideal Candidate Profile
Active Ignition Gold Certification with deep expertise across Ignition modules and architecture
10+ years of experience in industrial control systems, including significant SCADA architecture leadership
Proven track record designing and deploying Ignition-based solutions in manufacturing environments
Strong proficiency in Python scripting within Ignition for automation and data processing
Extensive experience with PLC integration and IT/OT connectivity across multiple protocols
Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery in complex, client-facing environments
