A search is underway for a Business Litigation Associate to join a respected and expanding litigation platform in the Capital Region. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney seeking substantive involvement in sophisticated business disputes, direct exposure to senior litigators, and meaningful responsibility across all phases of litigation. Compensation: $120,000 – $200,000 + Automatic Productivity Bonus + Discretionary Bonus + Full Benefits
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support business litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive court filings
Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy, positioning, and risk assessment
Oversee discovery, document production, and evidentiary development across active matters
Participate in depositions, hearings, court appearances, negotiations, and trial preparation
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to advance litigation strategy and outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
At least 3 years of experience in business, commercial, or complex civil litigation
Strong legal writing, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills
Demonstrated experience with motion practice, discovery, and litigation workflow
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Juris Doctor required with admission to the New York Bar
Candidates whose primary experience is in personal injury, insurance defense, consumer collections, or foreclosure litigation are not aligned with the scope of this search
