A search is underway for a Business Litigation Associate to join a respected and expanding litigation platform in the Capital Region. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney seeking substantive involvement in sophisticated business disputes, direct exposure to senior litigators, and meaningful responsibility across all phases of litigation. Compensation: $120,000 – $200,000 + Automatic Productivity Bonus + Discretionary Bonus + Full Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support business litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive court filings

  • Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategy, positioning, and risk assessment

  • Oversee discovery, document production, and evidentiary development across active matters

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, court appearances, negotiations, and trial preparation

  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to advance litigation strategy and outcomes

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in business, commercial, or complex civil litigation

  • Strong legal writing, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills

  • Demonstrated experience with motion practice, discovery, and litigation workflow

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

  • Juris Doctor required with admission to the New York Bar

  • Candidates whose primary experience is in personal injury, insurance defense, consumer collections, or foreclosure litigation are not aligned with the scope of this search
