Controller | Oklahoma City, OK
A non-profit organization with a multi-entity operating structure is conducting a retained search for a Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations function. Reporting to executive leadership, this role will oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, audit coordination, and day-to-day accounting operations across multiple divisions and funding streams.
The Controller will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational accountability within a complex, mission-driven environment.
Compensation: $100-120K + Bonus
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and financial operations across multiple divisions, entities, and funding sources
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and management reporting
Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and financial analysis for leadership decision-making
Supervise and develop a small accounting team while ensuring effective execution of AP, AR, and core accounting operations
Ensure compliance with grant, regulatory, audit, and tax reporting requirements, including oversight of external audits and filings
Maintain strong internal controls, financial processes, and reporting accuracy across the organization
Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives, special projects, and operational planning
Ideal Candidate Profile
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility within complex operating environments
Prior experience overseeing multi-entity or multi-division financial operations
Strong background in financial reporting, close processes, reconciliations, budgeting, and audit coordination
Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting staff and day-to-day finance operations
Experience with nonprofit, fund, grant, or regulated accounting environments is highly valued
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required; CPA preferred
