Director of Business Development - Logistics & Supply Chain (Remote)
A retained search assignment is underway for a Director of Business Development to lead enterprise-level new business development initiatives for a high-growth logistics and supply chain services organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic revenue expansion through complex, relationship-driven sales engagements across warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, and broader supply chain solutions.
The position offers significant autonomy, national market exposure, and direct influence on commercial growth strategy. The successful candidate will operate as a senior client-facing leader, managing long-cycle enterprise pursuits from initial engagement through contract execution and ongoing account development.
Compensation: Base $130-180K + Uncapped Commission Structure
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a national business development strategy focused on net-new enterprise and mid-market client acquisition
Build and manage a high-value sales pipeline across warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, and supply chain solutions
Lead complex consultative sales engagements with senior operational and executive stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to structure, position, and close strategic opportunities
Represent the organization at industry conferences, client meetings, and strategic networking events nationwide
Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting practices
Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support broader commercial strategy initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven success in enterprise-level business development with a strong track record of net-new client acquisition
Experience managing complex, relationship-driven sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
Highly self-directed, competitive, and comfortable operating in an autonomous remote environment
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage operational and C-suite decision makers
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a disciplined sales funnel and forecasting process
Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, industrial services, or adjacent B2B sectors preferred
