Executive Director, Facilities Operations | Cleveland, OH

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an accomplished Executive Director of Facilities Operations to provide strategic leadership across a large, multi-site ambulatory care portfolio. This executive will oversee the performance, compliance, and long-term optimization of facilities operations supporting a complex network of healthcare locations.

Reporting to senior leadership, the role requires a proven operator capable of leading large-scale facilities programs, driving operational excellence, managing significant resources, and partnering with executive stakeholders to support organizational growth and patient-centered outcomes.

Compensation: $150-180K

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facilities operations across a large regional portfolio of outpatient and ambulatory healthcare locations.

  • Develop and execute strategies that enhance operational performance, service delivery, regulatory compliance, and asset reliability.

  • Partner with executive, clinical, and operational leaders to align facilities initiatives with broader organizational objectives.

  • Oversee maintenance, engineering, vendor management, asset management, and contracted service providers across multiple sites.

  • Drive standardization, process improvement, and performance management initiatives throughout the portfolio.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare, life safety, environmental, and accreditation requirements.

  • Provide leadership for capital projects, facility upgrades, and infrastructure planning efforts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Significant executive leadership experience in healthcare facilities management, engineering operations, or integrated facilities services.

  • Demonstrated success overseeing large, geographically dispersed healthcare portfolios with complex operational requirements.

  • Proven ability to lead large teams and multi-level management structures across multiple locations.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing substantial operating budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and performance metrics.

  • Executive presence with a track record of building trusted relationships with C-suite leaders, physicians, administrators, and key stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience.
